Five years ago, ARANJI was born of a group of people
head and yelling, "look!" and "listen!". Each April
those who know AND those who want to know, strap on
their dancing shoes, smiles and minds. While the
motto of the event is still: "hell bent on making you
think", and we strive to do just that, BUT what it~Rs
really about is: "hell bent on making you completely

fter a long hiatus Aranji is back!! We needed some time to tend to the veal farm and make sure the geese were overfed. We're excited to be throwing our first Aranji event in a new location. Traditionally Aranji has been about showcasing amazing local talent in SF. With Aranji? we bring you an international artist who we deeply respect! Enjoy...

Fine Cut Bodies from Budapest, Hungary one of the emerging talents of breakbeat. FCB is playing all over Europe withthe Likes of Freq NAsty and Hybrid. Look for his upcoming releases with Chris Carter, Tipper, Fink and more in the breaks section of a record store near you. This guy writes the records that make you look around the dancing fray and laugh because your friends all have the same silly expressions of amazement on their faces that you do . He was recently interviewed on nubreaks.com, the website that many would consider to be the definitive site for breaks.

Joining Fine Cut Bodies will be local breaks legend Adam Ohana (An-ten-nae) and Jungle Mixtress Dominatrix of Newsbreakz.

We're also delighted to team up with longtime friends VJ Culture of Dimension 7, VideoJon(lightrhythm)and Rob Flowers. Rob is largely responsible for the look of Aranji over the years. His no holds barred approach to flower arranging is inspirational. Did you know that the 3 most popular zen arts are archery (the mantra is "one arrow, one life"), swordsmanship and flower arranging?

As for Dimension 7, they are always causing trouble. What's this we hear about some bizarre brain transplant contraption thingy? The rumours are trickling down but i guess we'll have to wait until that night to see what's up.

Main Room Line Up...
Stiff [Shamigo] 10 - 11:30
Adam Ohana [An-Ten-Nae.net] 11:30 - 12:30
J:Miah [Aranji] 2:00 - 3:00
Barefoot [Aranji] 3:00 - 4:00

Back Room DJ's...
Paul Smith 11:00 - 12:00
Jeff Richmond [Aranji] 12:00 - 1:00
Beatbasher 1:00 - 2:00
Donnamatrix [Newsbreakz] 2:00 - 3:00

See you on the Dance Floor!!!
